So last night I was online with Lanvarok and Gerond. Gerond only had 1 account in the hole, and he was on Static Watch. Lanvarok and I decided we'd go and 2 man a combat site. Lan was in his Legion. I was in my Talos. My skills were just about the bare minimum to fit it with large guns. I can't fly a Battleship yet. My resists aren't great, but I'm running a Microwarp Drive so hopefully I can kite this stuff.
We warp on grid and Lan starts taking out some of the ships. I couldn't actually hit a thing with my Large Hybrids. I missed everything, every time. Good job I was riding Lan's coat tails. When the Battleship started firing on me I knew I was in trouble. I lit the MWD and just vectored away from Lan. This actually worked well as the BS followed me. Lan managed to clear everything else from that wave while I was dragging the bs away. I was probably 250km or so away from Lan at this stage, and the BS was maybe 150km away from me. I slowed myself down to get in firing range again to "Unleash my noobness" on it. Before getting in firing range I was obviously in ideal gun range for the battleship and my shield and armor were being peeled off under the sleeper attack. I told Lan I was out and warped away. I didn't end up getting hit into hull, but there wasn't much armor left. As I landed in the POS I had already nearly repaired the armor when Lan reported a Rapier was on grid with him.
I have NFI what a rapier is, so I go to consult ISIS and before i've found it Lan says he's scrammed. Gerond then reports that we have WH Action. "About 6 came through". Oh boy.
So a fleet of T3s come belting through the Nullsec Wormhole and had jumped on poor Lan who I just abandoned. (thank fuck as I'd only just bought the Talos which was 70mil or so unfitted. A shitload of ISK for me as a 3 month or so player. I'd made my ISK through Highsec mining.)
A Phobos lands on grid and up goes the bubble. Well that's just about sealed Lan's fate unless he can burn out of the bubble. That isn't happening.
It doesn't take too long before Lan's Legion is scrapped and the Podding is complete.
Well that's turned into a shit night for us.
