So I've had a Scorpion with a Jam/Neut fit for months and haven't actually ever had a need to employ said countermeasures.
We use this as part of the Wormhole closer fleet so if we are jumped by other people while we are closing our wormhole the Scorpion can jam everyone out to try and ensure the escape of the other battleships and itself.
We decided to take a few toons out in Nullsec to play.
We ended up with 5 of us. Scorpion, Curse, Legion, Crucifier and Condor. What a ragtag bunch.
Lanvarok tested out some ECM drones while we were at it. I didn't successfully jam him out for every cycle, and I would occasionally get jammed out myself with the 5 medium ECM drones on me.
The fun started when another name popped up in the system. Well we are all in combat esque ships, so let's go! Cynabal on dscan. He must be at the only gate in dscan range.
Luskette was in the Eris 1 jump away so I brought that in too. I was spewing that I wasn't in the Phobos, but what can you do.
As we all landed on grid at the gate the ship jumped through. 3 of us also went through. We weren't quite sure what would be waiting for us there but what the hell?!?
The Cynabal was away but didn't warp. It sped towards nowhere with its AB or MWD on. Lan warped to an anomaly on the other side of it and I moved the Eris to get it inbetween us. I hoped that if Lan warped to me at 30km he'd drop right on it. I had the target locked with the scorpion and it was jammed with no problem. I couldn't actually hit it with anything else though. It also has no tackle.
"Jamming is Gay" was his comment in local.
"So is running away" was Lan's reply.
It was 150km from me now, and I was 120km from the gate. The Ship warped away and then warped back at the gate. As it went back to the previous system I warped the Scorpion through and warped jumped the Eris through too. It was away before I could get him and then out of Local.
Damn, I don't know where Gerond was but he wasn't on this side of the gate, or even online anymore. He must have nicked off at some stage without us noticing.
The one that got away......
