Jumped on at my normal time. It was probably about 8.45pm.
15 minutes before the old downtime, but with Melbourne's daylight savings it
was now an hour and 15 minutes before downtime. I re-queued more training and looked into
organising my Alt Luskette's Heavy Interdictor Cruiser (HIC).
I was the only one online until Lanvarok jumped in. He mentioned that he had a toon stuck out of
the wormhole, I think the phrase "Fucking Gerond" could have been in
there somewhere. A stranded Battleship,
fit for closing wormholes not combat, deep in Nullsec space is not what or
where I would want to be. Lan had scanned down 6 or so systems before finding a
wormhole which he managed to find a Highsec Exit from. Meanwhile "The
Horde" were pos bashing, well customs office bashing.... We have been in this wormhole now for a while
and still haven't cleaned up properly.
I noticed there were 2 more oracles in the Ship Maintenance
Array (SMA), so I put Lusky in one and let her join in the bashing. Luskette jumped in the Interdictor and went
to watch the static wormhole entrance that was EOL. Lanvarok picketing that so he was now free to
jump into the last Oracle and join in the fun.
Dan logged in and brought his nightmare to the customs
office bashing party too. Meanwhile
Lanvarok's Alt had made it out to Highsec and was already on his way back in.
Would he make it before DT?
Finally the Customs Office died. With the wormhole EOL and
DT 10 minutes away, Lan announced he was 2 jumps out. These were 2 lowsec jumps
so we all jumped into cloaky scouts and headed out to make sure the Battleship
wouldn't get ganked on its way back in.
Lanvarok's Alt got back into the hole with about 2 minutes
to spare and we were all back at the POS.
There were 2 cosmic signatures (our static and a data site)
along with 7 other sites. 5 combat and 2 ore. All being well we'll return after
DT and clear the sites.
Sounds good.
After DT we all logged back in again. Still just the 2
signatures. Luskette jumped on the Static to watch it. It was still EOL so
while we weren't zipped up, the chances of a gank fleet navigating an End of
Life wormhole were slim. The rest of us started clearing sites.
BAM - 1 down, BAM - 2 down, BAM - 3 down, BAM - 4 down and
BAM - all 5 combat sites down. MTUs dropped at every location, all bookmarked.
Now to do the Data site.
Lanvarok reshipped his Alts into the Remote Reppers as the
difficulty was higher. While clearing
that site the Static Wormhole died. That's Ace. I could then warp Luskette to
the data site to drop an MTU as we didn't have any left. With that done I left
Luskette cloaked on grid at the Data site while we cleared it.
** Screenshots to be added **
I noticed on one of the waves that the Preserver had the RR
Beam going to the Battleship. I hadn't
noticed the beam before. I mentioned
this in chat and Lanvarok replied that the Preservers are RR.
Yes I'm aware of that, I just hadn't noticed them actually
remote repairing anything before. Maybe
it's just me. Dan called out for repairs.
Haha, looks like his Nightmare's shields couldn't take the damage. Bet a look at his pantyhose will reveal a
Nightmare as his shield looked like it was hanging on by a thread.
NEW SIG! came through chat from Lanvarok.
"Yes it is the new static", I replied.
No one would be coming in through that wormhole as we hadn't
scanned it down let alone travelled through it. That's why there would be no
exit at its destination for anyone else to come back through.
With that site now cleared I reshipped Lusky into the
Salvage beast as people warped back to their MTUs to pick them up along with
the loot they had grabbed. I salvaged the sites one by one, and Gerond jumped
into his "Can Popper" to clear the Data cans. I started with
Lanvarok's 2, then Gerond's 2. Luskette had grabbed half the loot out of her
MTU and her cargo was full. There looked to be plans and shit in there. Had
Gerond been Jettisoning cargo he'd been hacking? I wasn't sure.
Dan logged out; I think he mentioned something about being
soft.
Lusky warped the salvager to the data site next and picked
up the remainder of the loot and started salvaging. Gerond was still hacking
cans and Luskette warped back to the POS. I still had 1 more site to salvage
after this.
"New SIG" Lanvarok put up again. Sure enough there
was a 3rd signature.
Damn although it could be a gas or data/relic site that was
unlikely. At the data site we would need to either be scanned down on a ship by
ship basis with combat probes, or the site be scanned down with core probes. I
had seen neither yet so we were probably still ok. Lanvarok was launching
probes to scan down the new signature.
"It's a Wormhole" he said and warped to it.
"K162 from Dangerous Unknown space." Dammit,
that's a Class 4 or 5 wormhole. I focussed on getting the salvage as there were
only 3 more wrecks to go. Gerond was still playing with hit cans. Combat Probes on dscan, OK that's not good.
Lanvarok said he was going to go through the wormhole for a look and was
greeted by multiple ships and was bubbled. Sounds like a gank fleet on the
other side of the hole waiting for scouts to lock on a target?
I got the wrecks salvaged and warped back to the POS. I
still had an MTU out there, which would be scannable. I reshipped and zipped
out there in my Helios and ninja grabbed the MTU and loot. I then headed back
to the POS and reshipped to the Proteus. By now the bookmark had appeared for
me and I could warp to the C4 Wormhole entrance.
Holy Shit I posted in Chat. They're the guys who pinched our
POS when we were moving out of the old wormhole.
https://zkillboard.com/kill/40002205/ was the kill they made
on Lanvarok's stealth bomber when we tried to ninja take our tower and kill the
Battleship.
Battleships started ploughing through the wormhole. They're
trying to close it and Lanvarok is still on the other side.
"You'll have to make a run for it!"
Lan made it back in and not long after that they closed the
hole. I quickly jumped back into the salvager and salvaged the last site before
joining Gerond in the Ore sites cleaning out the rats.
Job's done. A bit of excitement and once again Dan and
Vorthos were nowhere to be found.......
