Dan: "Combat Sites Anyoone"
Lusky: "about to log in"
Gotta love Dan's typos.

I logged in and we grouped up. We had 3 Combat sites and just had the one signature, our static that I had used last night, and it was EOL so it wouldn't last too long.
We put out another call on the hangouts just in case anyone wanted in, and after 10 minutes with no replies it was go time.
I jumped in a Proteus and fleet warped us to the first site. All three combats sites we had were all OFS (Outpost Frontier Stronghold). We've cleared these sites many times and we know the drill. I activate my Damage Control during transit. These turrets hit the Proteus Shield hard often taking out 3/4 of them in the first volley with Damage Control II turned on. I don't think I’ve ever taken a volley without it. Once the first volley has been received (I'm bound to get the first volley when fleet warping with a Nightmare) I'll flick on the active resists and the Armor Repairer. As I'm running a Naked Clone at the moment, I don't have my MWD Cap reducing implant so I'm not quite cap stable with the MWD on. I don't just turn everything on like I used to.
"Surprise!" I put in chat as I realise I warped us to an Ore site instead. 2nd time lucky, off we go. Yep that's better.
All went well and we cleared the site and I warped Luskette with the salvager to the MTU and cleaned it up.
All good and 1 site down. There was about 10 minutes until DT so we'll continue the fun later.
Once we were back in after DownTime, a quick check showed the static was still there and was still EOL.
(Recently our statics have had a new lease on life after DT and also been a Link to a different system. That's right the Static has been in the same place, with the same code, but has no longer been EOL and hasn't gone to the same System that is went to the previous time around. It has happened a few times now. Bizarre.) This was not the case tonight.
So I reloaded my blasters and grabbed some more ammo and off we went.
As usual when in transit I just pop on the Damage Control, landed on grid and burned my way towards the sentry guns. I didn't head directly to them but had locked the 3 Argos and the Battleship and made my way in their general direction. BEEP BEEP, yep shields are low, flick on the repper and holy shit, that beeping is because the armor is low. Fuck Fuck Fuck Warp! Warp away, warp away, warp away. Repper on, Explosive resist on, MWD off. Oh God, this is not good.
"I'm Out" I put in chat as I'm mashing the Warp To button.
"OK" Dan replies and POP goes the Proteus. Bah! Well, back to the pos and I'll grab my other one.
"Did you just pop?" Dan asked.
"Yes" I replied.
My other Proteus has an AB fitted, not a MWD so it is over 50% cap stable. Ammo Check, all loaded and back to the site. Everything is turned on in transit this time.
"Are you coming back?" Dan asks.
"Yep"
As I land on grid I see my wreck 35km away. Damn the MTU was in that Proteus as well. Dan puts down an MTU and after we finish the first wave, I swing past Dan's MTU as I see my unlooted wreck sitting beside it. I loot the wreck and there is my MTU. Cool, I now have one to deploy at the next site. Guess an MTU can't loot an MTU.
Lock the 4 cruisers of the next wave and burn my way towards them. I'm wondering which sub system skill I have just lost, Propulsion. Ah well, I'll queue that up straight away to re-learn it.
After clearing the site with no further incident, we looted everything and headed back to the POS. My Deadspace repper dropped so I'll put that on this ship before heading to the next site.
Checked the killmail to see how much I lost. 402 million. Yep that's my budget fit Proteus. Have to get another one. That's the first T3 I've lost, but the time for mourning has long gone. Last site, let's go. Fleet warp ahoy and I hear a Warp pop. God dammit, the salvager is going to land on grid. I thought I hit stop on that Eve Client.
As "bwing" lands on grid I immediately cloak and head directly down with a pulse of the AB.
As the Proteus and Nightmare land on grid they are in range of the Salvaging Catalyst and the cloak is broken. Warp it away and that is that crisis averted. Congratulations, you just saved the 2 million ISK destroyer. I guess every bit helps.
This site went down just like the first one and like the second one should have. The usual cleanup was performed and Dan logged off.
OK I'm going out our Static to grab another Proteus. I logged in the Jita Alt and purchased everything I needed to recreate that fit. I then jumped in the Helios and put the covert cloak and covert subsystem in the cargo as I didn't want to navigate Low/Nullsec without that. My thinking was I'd take the covops out to the nearest HS station so on the way back in I can refit the Proteus there and don't have to buy more. Yes I'm a tight-ass.
4 jumps to HS so I blitzed my way there and thought I'll just go one extra system. 5 systems from the WH entrance. OK now I'll make my way back in and pod back out and grab a Rookie ship in a station for the trip. If I die I don't care really, my clone is naked so no value there. As I'm podding to the WH exit I rename my Pod to Proteus. Haha. I have Luskette in her Helios outside the wormhole watching that system, and bounce her around the gates and through some of them to monitor the surrounding systems during this time.
I make the 20+ jumps to Jita, trade the Proteus and get it assembled and fitted. Now to head back. The EOL wormhole may die so I'll put Luskette back in and make my way to the station where my spare subsystem and cloak are. (I did check and the cloak and sub system were 140km3. The Velator only has 135km3 so I couldn't fit it all in for a suicide trip to Jita.)
Sure enough the WH died while I was enroute back. I scanned down the new exit and popped it. Hmmm, 5 jumps from Highsec. Not to worry. A quick bounce down that chain and there were minimal people there. Funnily enough there were 1 or 2 CVA members in many of those systems. I wasn't in Providence; I wonder what they're up to.
I landed at the station and refit the Proteus, now to make the 26 jumps to the new WH Entrance. Uggg. It's 1am. Jump Jump Jump Jump you know the drill. I get 2 systems away from the WH entrance and Eve Client for Luskette stops showing me de-cloaked at a gate I was trying to jump through.
Socket Error and the client closes. Oh Shit! Check the other client and sure enough a few seconds later it too has a Socket Error and that client closes. Google Hangouts has also closed and obviously something has happened to my Internet Access.
Outside I go and reboot the Router and Modem, Why after the hours I've spent jumping around did it have to be in the gankable area that it drops?!?
Still nothing, I'll check Internode for outages on my phone. Yep. Telstra Maintenance. Gawd. Is it worth jumping on the laptop and hot spotting from my phone? I just need to make 2 jumps with each character. 15 minutes later the internet is back up and I log back in. Phew my ships are still on the Character selection screen. A quick log in, and get both toons back into the Wormhole.
The scales are balanced again. God the guys are going to give me shit when they read this.......
