Hisec Invasion - Part 1

Yesterday I had heard through the Google Hangouts that we had a HighSec Exit.  I logged in 8 or so hours later, before DT once again.  The HS was still open.  Lan, Gerond and Dan were already online.

I'd left the hole with Lusky a few days ago, I wanted to get some reputation for level 4 missions so I had been doing some level 3 ones in my budget fitted level 3 mission running Brutix.  (I might post the fit later if people are interested)


Lan had just finished HIC training 3 or 4 and was purchasing his Heavy Interdictor giving us 2 of them in the Wormhole.  We exchanged some fitting information and he headed back into the Wormhole in a combat fitted HIC.

I grabbed some skill books and some other bits and pieces and headed back to the hole.  I think it was 12 HS jumps to get there.  I also logged Luskette on and had a look at the hole myself.  2 Sigs, the HS and our Static.

OK! so a tier 1 Gal scanner just jumped into our hole.  I swapped Luskette into the combat fitted HIC and headed to the HS exit.  Bubble up, they're going to be slowboating it through the bubble to get to the wormhole now.  I set the orbit to 1.5km.

Dan was in his nightmare about 22km from the hole (so popping in and out of bubble range).  Lan's alt was cloaked on the hole and I think Gerond's alt was also cloaked somewhere in the system.

Lan had narrowed down the location to a planet area so Gerond warped his manticore there to have a look around.  We didn't see any probes so assumed they had cloaked.  There was only 15 minutes until DT and I was still 4 jumps out when Lan got his HIC in.  He then reshipped to his Covert Recon cruiser and started bouncing around the system.  Gerond also got himself back in before I managed to get back in with my Proteus.

We are in the hole now, and DT is approaching.  If it was me I'd wait until i got booted at DT then quickly try to run when DT finished.  Running the gauntlet now would be suicide.
