Hisec Invasion - Part 2

Following on from Hisec Invasion - Part 1

When Tranquility came back up after DT, we were straight in there.  We held the guard for 20 minutes or so and no Imicus appeared.  Bugger.  People started logging off until I was on my own in the wormhole with 2 characters.  I was on both of the wormholes in close orbits cloaked.  I was mashing DSCAN like crazy.  It took about half an hour.......

Astero on dscan
8 Sisters Core Probes on dscan
Astero no longer on dscan

OK Where did that ship come from?  A new sig.  OK what to do?  I had both holes covered but neither my HIC or Proteus had probes fitted to scan down the new signature.  He won't know I'm here at all so I don't want to give away the element of surprise just yet.

I made up my mind.  When I see him exit the HS (which he probably couldn't resist doing) I'll warp to the POS and reship.  The POS wasn't in range of the HS wormhole so I'd have maybe 5 minutes if he didn't want to come back polarised.

It took what seemed like an eternity for the probes to get within 2AU of my position at the static.  It was another 5 minutes for them to get within 2AU of the HS.  The probes then dissappeared and there is the Astero on grid.   Aaaaaaaannd out they go.

The clock is ticking.  Back to the POS and straight into the Helios, warp out and launch Combat Probes out.  I'll just scan down the sig with Combat probes so I don't have to change them later.  I keep mashing dscan and start probing down the new signature.

Wop Wop Wop.  WH Action!  In comes the Astero and off he warps.  I get the new sig locked and get my probes out of dscan range.  I think I may have just made it getting that scanned before the Astero saw my probes.  Warp to 30km and dammit I was concentrating too much to uncloak the HIC and bubble the Astero.

Wop Wop Wop WH Action again.
I haven't even landed on grid at the new sig yet.  A Vagabond is now on DSCAN and as a Paladin leaves gate cloak 9km from me and starts the warping process.  As the Paladin warps off, the Vagabond lands on grid 6km away.
Jesus my poor little HIC is closer than I would have liked.

I see a Proteus on Grid at the C4+ wormhole the Helios is at.  I'd better give myself some distance from the hole, actually both of them if more Marauders are coming in.  Shit that was quick from having the destination HS system and getting a battleship to that system.

Think I would have lost the HIC to that Paladin if I had have bubbled the Astero.  Bit of a sobering thought.

The Pally and Vaga both exit the wormhole.  I don't remember seeing the Astero or the Proteus leave though.

I still have to decloak the Phobos to warp it from the HS hole.  I'm now about 20km away from the HS hole.  I really want to be further than that. I wait until I'm 40 km from the hole then decloak and warp away.

I recall my probes and do the same to the Helios.  That will do for tonight.

Once again I was all on my own when the fun began.
