Tonight I was pottering around Nullsec in my Helios when mention of a Wormhole nearby was mentioned. A corp member scanned it down and linked the system. It didn't appear on Static Mapper.

Starting a new Chapter.
So the general consensus of the group was to get the fuck outta dodge. We were sneaky bastards and got everything out of the Wormhole and began to chill out for a while. We'll give wormhole life a break for a while before we go back in.

To combat the seige
It has been 1 weeks so the ransom deadline has passed. We still have the threat of siege hanging over us. We have removed excess ships from the POS. We have also made sure that we keep our loot flowing out of the Wormhole. We know that a few of the siege accounts have left the hole. As soon as our wh picket accounts saw them leave we mobilised and closed the holes behind them. We are still very wary when we run the combat sites just to make sure that nothing surprises us.
Our corp CEO has been in contact with one of the siege leaders again and we have decided that we aren't going to pay the 1.5 billion ISK ransom. We no longer have 1.5 billion ISK of ships and equipment in the POS so blowing it up won't give these guys anywhere near that amount in loot. Getting that out was fun when we had 2 wardecs on us as everyone was a spy!
We've also heard from other sources that even if we pay the ransom they'll evict us anyway. We have all trained Starbase defense 4 on our accounts. It's a corp pre-requisite for wormhole participation once anchoring 5 was no longer required. We actually want to give our pos defenses a test run. I'm interested if we can Alpha some of the ships with a dozen accounts all controlling 4 defense batteries focusing dps on a single target. These guys rekon they'll school us in POS setup. I'm hoping they come to do some schooling and we get to surprise them with instapopping a few Battleships.
I have also fit 2 ospreys for shield repairs and Gerond has fitted 1 so we have 3 shield reppers we can use. We are now itching to test this stuff out.
Our first wormhole was a Wolf Rayet C3. As this gimped shields most of the corp members never really trained them. We used guardians to run our sites before we'd skilled in armor resists enough and then used Augorers once we didn't need the reps that much. We hardly use them these days as a bit of ship pimp and some proper skills and most of the damage from sites can be absorbed comfortably.
So in the end the CEO said "come and get us fucktards" (or he should have) and we'll now wait to see if they still have anyone in our hole to come and get us. I have a feeling that none of their mains are in the hole as killboard watching and saving them to contacts has shown that they're in other systems. They could still have an alt account that can scan out though. Time will tell but now the losses aren't going to be too much we are prepared to lose the POS and give starbase defense a go.
Bring it on!
Oh and the fact that we've been in contact with some other corps and alliances that have requested us to join them over the last 6 months and we now have access to a tengu fleet on the batphone if we ever need one.

A Conflict Spilleth Over
It's was 20 minutes after DT and I managed to get into Eve last night. I'd been doing manual labor all day (which is unheard of for me) so it was time to wind down with some gaming.......

We have a seige
So the call went out on our forums and Google Hangouts that we had been threatened with seige and eviction from our hole by HAHA.
We have had skirmishes with these guys in the past and they'd invited us to join them because we had the right attitude providing good fights.
Now they either don't know what each other are doing or they are bored and want more good fights. We've seen a few ships on dscan and I think we've same the same ship (being renamed between cloaks) on grid at what he thinks is his safe spot quite a few times. This guy is a total wanker and obviously hasn't been around his corp long enough to know of our history, and if he's tried to do his research using killmails has only ever seen our deaths as we don't post ours. While some of us may be new to this game, we are not stupid. With us all being friends IRL we have years of gaming history with each other. This means that communication between us both in and out of game is clear and quick. We know how we play and seeing this guy try to be misleading right infront of our faces shows he's obviously amateur hour proficient and clueless as to who he has picked a fight with.
We are a small group and have done plenty of stupid shit. We do however feel that if the worst comes to worse we'll fight it out. We'll run some of our excess ships out right away and bring back the Catalyst Gank fleet that we had intended to unleash in Highsec before the wardecs and get them in for transport of goods to an Evac system. With this as a basic plan it was time to mobilise.......
We jumped a fleet to the Lowsec exit for security. We had eyes in Lowsec. I had Lusky in the Proteus and Luskette in the Phobos. Lan was in a curse, Dan in a Nightmare with a few stealth bombers and 6 Oracles.
OK we're here guys, bring on the good fights. Uncloak the 30 ships you say you have in the system and let's go.
Our evac went well. While we waited for HAHA to bring us a good fight we got numerous ships out of the hole and quite a bit of ISK of PI and blue goo. After about an hour of being out in the open waiting for them they're obviously bullshitting on their numbers. At this stage we retreated and warped the fleet off. I stayed on grid for 20 minutes or so and saw one guy, the bullshit artist himself land on grid in his Loki 50km from the hole. He cloaked again before uncloaking with a new ship name and cloaking again. When he uncloaked again with a new ship name he zoned out. This was confirmed by our Lowsec picket and we once again mobilised and closed the hole. He wasn't coming back in that way. With that Loki gone, we still thought we had a Legion or 2 plus a stratios. These were the ships that we saw either on dscan or on grid at a womhole exit.
Let's see what happens over the next week before their deadline.

The Threat of Seige
Well you may have noticed that updates have been slow. This is because we were threatened with siege and the purge of our wormhole by the HAHA alliance last night.

Returning to the Hole
So i'm logging in late tonight. It's nearly 11pm and no one else is online. I jump on Lusky and grab some skill books that Luskette will need. What the hell I'll buy 2 of them all incase Lusky needs them too. I swap to the Helios and then log Luskette in. Let's see where the static goes tonight.
As I land on grid something isn't quite as I expected.

WarDecs...
OK so our Alt Corp earned themselves a WarDec. Not a big deal really. There are no real ties so everyone just leaves the corp. No Dramas. As one of the Orca Pilots reported getting bumped within 12 hours of the WarDec being declared we figured it was something to do with that. An alt corp of 1 created less than a week ago by a toon created a week ago. Carefactor = 0.

Looks like it is Alt time in Highsec
I got on late last night, 10:30pm AEDST. No other Corpies were online and I decided to just check my alts in Highsec. After running a few trips of Highsec Mining Ore to the refining station I jumped into the Helios to check out what was going on in some of the local HS systems.

The one that got away?
So Gerond told me a story from the weekend. I thought it was worth posting.
It was Saturday 25th October and I was having a bit of me time in Lowsec killing rats for random drops in my Legion. I'm just minding my own business on my own in the LS system and another name appears in Local.

Hisec Invasion - Part 2
Following on from Hisec Invasion - Part 1
When Tranquility came back up after DT, we were straight in there. We held the guard for 20 minutes or so and no Imicus appeared. Bugger. People started logging off until I was on my own in the wormhole with 2 characters. I was on both of the wormholes in close orbits cloaked. I was mashing DSCAN like crazy. It took about half an hour.......

Hisec Invasion - Part 1
Yesterday I had heard through the Google Hangouts that we had a HighSec Exit. I logged in 8 or so hours later, before DT once again. The HS was still open. Lan, Gerond and Dan were already online.
I'd left the hole with Lusky a few days ago, I wanted to get some reputation for level 4 missions so I had been doing some level 3 ones in my budget fitted level 3 mission running Brutix. (I might post the fit later if people are interested)

Time for Stalking
I logged on tonight, rather late due to IRL stuff. I logged Lusky on and checked on our wormhole.
5 Cosmic Sigs and 4 Anomalies. 3 Ore and a Combat. I then checked bookmarks and there were only 2 bookmarks, both out of date.
Has no one been online tonight? OK let's start scanning.

Combat Sites Anyoone
Today started off like any other day. Dan put out a call on the Eve hangout for anyone wanting to do some Combat sites.
Dan: "Combat Sites Anyoone"
Lusky: "about to log in"
Gotta love Dan's typos.
I was about to log in anyway and I knew that Dan had been working on his Nightmare fit. He obviously wanted to give it a try tonight. What the hell, let's do this. It's 9:20pm and DT will hit us in 40 minutes.

Hole Cleanup time.
Jumped on at my normal time. It was probably about 8.45pm.
15 minutes before the old downtime, but with Melbourne's daylight savings it
was now an hour and 15 minutes before downtime. I re-queued more training and looked into
organising my Alt Luskette's Heavy Interdictor Cruiser (HIC).
I was the only one online until Lanvarok jumped in. He mentioned that he had a toon stuck out of
the wormhole, I think the phrase "Fucking Gerond" could have been in
there somewhere. A stranded Battleship,
fit for closing wormholes not combat, deep in Nullsec space is not what or
where I would want to be. Lan had scanned down 6 or so systems before finding a
wormhole which he managed to find a Highsec Exit from. Meanwhile "The
Horde" were pos bashing, well customs office bashing.... We have been in this wormhole now for a while
and still haven't cleaned up properly.

Chores
Well when I logged in last night we had 5 cosmic sigs and a couple of ore/combat sites. I think I was the only person in the wormhole so I started scanning.
1st Wormhole. Static - OK.
2nd Wormhole. Nullsec - K162. hmmm
3rd Wormhole. Highsec - K162. Woohoo
4th Wormhole. Nullsec - K162. damn.
5th of course is the Data site scanned down yesterday.
OK so we're pretty much open for business. I announce this in the EVE Google+ Hangout. I head out the Highsec exit and it is something like 10 jumps to Jita.

Shit Night
I jumped online just before DT yet again last night. FIGJAM! Lanvarok was mining with "The Horde". Lan went AFK for "Bio Break". DT Struck and it was time for the waiting game. He then got on Google+ Hangouts saying all of his clients had crashed.
I laughed because I didn't actually think that he didn't realise it was 9pm DT. I knew he'd been sinking the piss already tonight but he must have had a few. Actually from his track record it was probably just one.

Site Night
OK so I once again managed to jump on 18 minutes before DT. Lanvarok and Gerond were online. I see 3 legions and some wrecks on dscan. There are 3 anoms and I notice that they are all bookmarked. Our Static and 2 NS wormholes. Hmmm. Could be risky doing PVE with 3 holes.
Lusky: "You clearing the site? Invite."
I jump into Funky Town (Proteus), my Fleet C3 mission runner and warp to the site. I land on grid and get the invite and start PEW PEW.

The Search Continues
So I thought I'd have another go at looking for a new wormhole. We seem to want a C4 so I thought I'd find a C2 or something and find one with a static C4 connection so I could check out a new C4 every day to find an empty one. Lan was also pottering around wormholes looking for shit so I thought we could cover twice as much space if we go at it simultaneously.

Come on through!
So last night we had 2 WH exits from our Wormhole. Our Nullsec Static, and one to another wormhole.
After Downtime we jumped in our "expendables" ready for some pvp style action.

T3 Time!
OK so I can finally use a T3 Cruiser. Proteus me up baby! While it isn't known to be all that good in a PVE sense, the WH effect we are under could bring it up a bit in that regard. It is currently fitted for T1 weapons as that is all i'm skilled for. Early days but I encountered the first hurdle already. I shipped the Proteus in all packaged with some subsystems and fittings. ACE!
The problem: You can't assemble these bastards in wspace, or in any space. You can't assemble them in a CHA or SMA either.
WTF!?!
Now I have to jump out to Nullsec and find a station that I can dock in to assemble the ship. Out I go with Luskette scouting in an Imicus. I've never tried to dock at a NS station before. Do the station guns fire if you're not in the alliance? I have no idea. After getting denied at 2 or 3 stations, I find one a few jumps out that allows me to dock.
Out I go with Lusankya in the hauler after I switch Luskette into the Helios. The systems were all empty when I went through before, let's see what happens.
Through I go and straight to the station. Whew, made it. I assemble the ship and leave as the coast is clear. I store the ship in the SMA and pod back to pick up the hauler.
In and out and back in again with both toons and we are back in the hole with an assembled T3. Nice!
Now to try it out.........

2 man 4 man team
Well Lan and I are online. We have 2 WH so I put Luskette on one and Gerond's alt on the second. We think we'll try running the combat sites, just the 2 of us. I'll use the Megathron, Lan in his new Legion with his 2 Remote Reppers in their Guardians.

Exploration of another C3
So we had a hole to a C3 today. It went to J152741. This system looks deserted. There are multiple dead sticks, some with many, many defenses around them including bubbles galore. I was in my Megathron and Lan was in his Legion. We take out a few Mobile bubbles (3 between us) and hit the POS for a bit. We figured if someone was notified and wanted to get back in we could sell them the current LS Static location of Naka.
Gerond brought in his Typhoon and Lan his 2 Guardian alts as well. We tried doing some C3 sites in a standard environment. Our WH is a Wolf Rayet, which has bonuses to armor resists (and nerf to shields) We hadn't tried doing our C3 sites without the added WH Effect bonuses. We needed RR on the battleships that's for sure. On the flip side it looked like the sleepers also went down quicker. The resists must apply to them as well.
No one ended up sending us any messages. I've been thinking lately that we've had a good run with our current hole so far. While it was occupied when we settled, those owners haven't been active at all. When they do become active at the end of their summer, we might very well be on the receiving end of a Russian Siege. Maybe we should keep that in mind and keep our eyes open for a suitable uninhabited hole.

Fuck Fuck Fuck Warp!
I mentioned in a previous post the Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Warp. This is when you're under attack and just want to GTFO. Sometimes this can land you in a situation worse than the one you were in, sometimes you might not actually reach warp in time. Others you may just scrape through with some skin left on your ballsack.

Let's try something new
So Lan is on grid with a POS in our wormhole. It's just a small POS with 4 artillery for defenses. There is a Corporate Hanger and Ship Maintenance Array there but as we have just discovered, it has no shield. The Artillery is Anchored but not Online.
Current Wormhole Status Update
So we have been in the wormhole for a while. There was already a POS setup in the hole, and from the can they've left near a bubble on grid with their POS they are Russian.

Kronos Expansion - Going Live!
Haha, 10 to 10 and the servers are still down. Oh wait, what's that in the latest news?
Kronos to be deployed on June 3rd from 11:00 to 14:00
Well looks like I was lucky getting the Drone Training completed on my main before the Kronos patch. I can't remember how far I got with my Alt though. :/

T2 Industrials Ahoy!
Fantastic, Luskette can now fly the T2 Haulers. First on the list is a Viator. Bring it on! Occator looks like a piece of shit. Won't bother with that one.

An expensive lesson
While this happened a while ago, It hasn't been published before. :)
So last night I was online with Lanvarok and Gerond. Gerond only had 1 account in the hole, and he was on Static Watch. Lanvarok and I decided we'd go and 2 man a combat site. Lan was in his Legion. I was in my Talos. My skills were just about the bare minimum to fit it with large guns. I can't fly a Battleship yet. My resists aren't great, but I'm running a Microwarp Drive so hopefully I can kite this stuff.

Moving Into a Wormhole
OK so we've been in a wormhole for a while, and have decided to move in. We now have a base. All of the modules that made it into the wormhole have been deployed and are online. Only 3 or the base defence turrets actually have ammo loaded into them though. (Railguns (hybrid turrets) have 6400 Large ammo each). There was 32k of Large rounds that made it to the base.

A Wormhole last night.
So last night Gerond found a wormhole 1 jump from our
Manufacturing Station. Turned out to be a Class 3 wormhole that appeared to be
devoid of settlement.
Gerond did an initial scout of the system in his Manticore.
I think there were about 4 Unidentified Cosmic Signatures.
I joined him with my Thorax (Cruiser). This was the second time I was going into a
Wormhole. I had been in another one
earlier in the week, but I was too scared as I didn’t have T2 frigate skills
let alone Cloak IV for Covert Ops cloaking yet.
It was still intense.

Ice Mining with a Hauler
So with the majority of the Corp being noobs, our Corp nights have started out as mining runs. Lanvarok has been playing for ages with multiple accounts, so he has an Orca pilot with mining bonuses. The plan has been to Mine stuff and produce our own ships. Gerond has been playing for a few months longer than me and has spent time learning some Manufacturing. Most of us have learned the skills for fitting out a mining barge now, so they are the standard mining ship. All Retrievers at this stage.

Mouse Scroll......
So I'm a few days in and every time i scroll the mouse wheel to adjust the zoom I go the wrong way. God Dammit! Where is the Invert Mouse Scroll tickbox?!?
So I messed with the Registry and inverted my mouse scroll in windows itself to see if it made Eve better. Run a script to change it before launching EVE, and run a second script to change it back when I finish.
It all seemed good until I was reading the mission text and the bloody scroll is inverted. Duh!
I'll flick it back.

Tutorial Funtimes
I am completely new to EVE, sure a mate showed me this game nearly 10 years ago, but at the time I only had the cash for 1 subscription based MMORPG. WOW was still running hot and it was my game of choice.
I thought it would be good to go through the tutorial. I had created my character and started following the quest chain. I had just completed the mission where you capture your rookie ship and space and managed to dock just before Downtime. (DT)
When the servers came back up I couldn't figure out how to complete the mission. I probably spent 2 hours trying to figure out why the tutorial didn't work.
"How can i fuck up the tutorial and not be able to work this out!?! WTF is going on?!?" (yes there may have been some slight rage there)

"How can i fuck up the tutorial and not be able to work this out!?! WTF is going on?!?" (yes there may have been some slight rage there)

So I've started an Eve Online Blog.
Well after 10 months of playing Eve Online and reporting some of the day to day actions to my corp mates via forums, it was suggested that I "Blog this shit".
I am by no means a fancy wordsmith and hope I'm not too far out of my depth. This is my first blog and while it is October 2014 now, I'm hoping that I can "backdate" my posts to essentially form a timeline of my progression through Eve and some of the fuckups I have made to date. As I nearly quit Eve Online within about 4 hours of gameplay I have experienced the "Steep Learning Curve" and "WTF Glitches" quoted by so many players.
This Blog is active and I will back-fill the older posts and hopefully put up something new soon.
From a corp perspective, we have used forums for ages. I'm sure that my Corp mates will enjoy re-reading some of the antics that have happened as we have delved in EVE Online together. While a few of the Corp have played EVE for ages a bunch of noobs have all started at the same time. We've all played games together before. Our corporation is compiled of RL mates and mates of mates. We haven't posted our Kill or Loss mails, if others want to submit them, no problems. It ensures that we are always underestimated.
